Went into town with Allan Wright last night to hear Jozef van Wissen at Nice n Sleazy’s. If you’re going to play an archlute gig in a bar, then Jozef’s is definitely the way to do it: I’ve got no idea whether he played for 15 minutes or an hour, as time really stood still.

We caught the end of Cheer’s intriguing set too: any group with a keyboard player who makes every note count, sings and can play the melodica with subtlety is just fine by me.
