I slept in this morning before eventually getting up to do some harpsichord practice for tonight, through the fog of exhaustion from the week so far.
Whether or not you think Roger Waters’ The Wall is an overblown pile of self-pitying toss, I’m really heartened by the twitterstorm that’s blowing this morning over David Gilmour playing the Comfortably Numb guitar solo at last night’s London show. A huge emotional outpouring around the world just because a guy showed up on stage and played the guitar for a few minutes: as an instrumentalist this cheers me hugely.
