Ugh, I hit the wall with a vengeance today after a very busy week. I have to be quite ill for the prospect of daytime TV to be a welcome one, but I spent a couple of hours on the sofa this afternoon in a sort of mental recovery position. So I've postponed the two days of remixing that Steve and I were going to do on Sunday and Monday, and cancelled a funding application that had to be written next week: for a while I'm going to stick to attempting the possible.

Over the last couple of weeks I've finally managed to get to the latest volume (20) of the ever-more-wondrous Acme Novelty Library. It demands to be re-read several times, not necessarily in sequence, to gradually uncover the layers of references, visual commentaries, and intricacies of design: Chris Ware's visual music at its most mature yet.  But the most exciting part of this week has been Alison getting the artwork for the Revenge CD in the mail from John McLean: we're not showing you that just yet.

In the last couple of days, it's finally become ice-free enough on the roads for me to consider cycling every day again, after nearly two months of shameful car use and walking. Now it's just wet and windy, great.
