Ah, listening to session tapes has rarely been so pleasurable. But I've been carrying them around on my phone and working in some strange places: yesterday's venues for close listening and taking notes included a dentist's waiting room in Edinburgh, while the rest of the family were having their teeth attended to. I'm trying to figure out at what point having a well-earned rest becomes work avoidance: I think it might be when the piles of books and paper on the floor reach a critical mess.

Anyway, as a sort of work-related work avoidance I put some audio up on our new soundcloud pages this week. There's plenty more to come but I didn't want to give it all away at once.

Thanks to the guys at gear bikes in Gibson St who successfully unbent a crucial part of the frame of my Dahon this morning, after I bent it cycling into the back of a car some weeks ago. In celebration the bike got its portrait taken beside this piece of irrelevant mathematical analysis round the corner in Park Road. G12 is a rather well-educated postcode, don't you know.
