Watching the snow fall heavily outside. Given the weather forecast, I wonder whether tomorrow really was the best choice of day to make an 8 hour drive.  And I wonder whether Bill will make it down to Glasgow from Strathpeffer today. I'm certainly not taking the car out again, after delivering my driving licence to Alison earlier this morning so that she can pick up the hire vehicle tomorrow. Living on a hill has lots to recommend it, but in the winter our road access gets cut off pretty quickly for the middle of a city.

Yesterday I fitted in some sledging among the organising and, at last, listening calmly to some of the songs. Today I'm going to prepare some notation, which is always a good way to feel a bit more prepared for a project. I probably won't post anything here for a while, but the story of the next week or so will no doubt unfold on the twitter feeds at @DMcGconcal and @concaledonia.
