Congratulations to Linn for their Gramophone Label of the Year award on Friday. They're now in generous mood, so you can buy our 3 Linn albums for the price of 2 as CDs or downloads: search for 'Concerto Caledonia' on their site and use the promo code 3FOR2.

We had a very enjoyable evening last night chez Butt (current star of Linn of course), with spectacular food in fine company: we gave Nic a lift too, who was stopping by on his way from San Francisco to the Bochumer Symphoniker. Today I've been collecting nettle stings while tidying up the garden, clearing long-overdue mail from my desk and inbox, and unsticking my fingers a little by playing some Hanon exercises for the first time in over two months. I made a point of listening to Dan Bodah's last Sunday morning show on WFMU too: Sundays won't be quite the same unaccompanied by his choice of music, bookended by the Velvet Underground and Sonic Youth.

There's a recent review of our Late Night Sessions album here - I'm pleased that everyone's favourite tracks on this record seem to be different.

My battling with the iMac at work has become slightly easier thanks to the neat mouse driver at USB overdrive. But why doesn't Apple just include acceleration settings or a speed faster than crawl in the native one? With me it's just a recipe for RSI. And I thought its products were renowned for their user-friendliness.  Moan moan apple are evil moan.
