A very interesting meeting this morning with Marjorie Rycroft and Paul Boucher about developments at the Montagu Music Collection; we've got a sick child here at home, so the meeting took place in the kitchen over a bowl of strawberries. There are worse places to work. And Alison came over for lunch, bearing tea technology for my university office. All visitors to the kitchen today have remarked on the iPad which was left casually on the ironing-board.
Beryl Marriott - her playing on I Hae a Wife o my Ain & Lady Mary Haye's Scotch Measure on this album (track 3) tells you most of what you need to know about playing piano for fiddle tunes. I think I may have mentioned this before (15 May 2009).
