I was at home yesterday while some of the family were at the enormously civilised Edinburgh Book Festival again, in the company of First Minister Jack McConnell no less, and with no apparent evidence of heightened security. It's hard to imagine Tony Blair showing up at an event to talk about childrens' literature, without an immense entourage and micro-management of his every word. You see, Scotland is quite a civilised place really.
Meanwhile, I had a useful chat with Chris about possible future recording projects. Now is not the time to make any kind of plans, but we can wait for one of a number of possible futures to present itself.
